To raise awareness of the author and increase book sales with minimal financial investment
Tactic:
Developed a six-month marketing plan focused on earned media (PR and publicity) and owned media (digital/social) due to the lack of budget for paid advertising. Partnered with a social media expert to create content strategies, while I handled press releases, media outreach and identified new, low-cost opportunities to reach broader audiences.
Outcome:
The author appreciated being able to focus on the bigger picture of her business while leaving the daily social media management to the team. The efforts led to measurable improvements in social engagement metrics each month. In addition, the local connections made, including introductions to a book festival and other vendor markets, significantly boosted community awareness and generated a positive return on marketing investment.
